Udupi and Mangaluru Coast Escape

Overview

A relaxed 4 day coastal trip for families, couples and temple lovers. A private car and our driver pick you up and stay with you the whole trip, so tolls, parking and driver charges are already paid. You spend one night in Mangaluru and two in Udupi, with sunsets at Panambur, Kaup and Malpe. The big day is Day 3: Kollur Mookambika Temple in the morning and a boat to St Mary's Island in the afternoon. The honest part: Bengaluru to Mangaluru is about 350 km, so Day 1 and Day 4 are long days of 7 to 8 hours on the road, mostly on a good highway with a ghat section. Best from November to February. The St Mary's Island ferry does not run in the monsoon, from about June to September. Many people fly into Mangaluru for this trip, so you can also start and end at Mangaluru airport or railway station.
