Kolli Hills: 70 Bends and Agaya Gangai

The road from Karavalli climbs through 70 numbered hairpin bends. Your driver takes it slowly. At the top, Solakkadu has roadside fruit stalls with jackfruit, pineapple and honey.

An old Shiva temple at the head of the valley. It is open in the morning, so we go first. Footwear stays outside.

About 1,000 to 1,300 steps go down to the foot of the falls. Allow about 45 minutes down and an hour or more back up, with rests. Small stalls on the way sell water and herbal soup. You can stop at the upper viewpoint if you do not want the full climb.

A small lake with pedal and row boats. A calm, easy hour after the steps. Boating is paid on the spot.

A small, easy falls close to the road, with only a short walk. Locals bathe here when the flow is gentle. Do not go in after heavy rain.
