Pickup from your home at about 5:45 AM and breakfast at Kanakapura. Walk down to Sangama where the Arkavathi joins the Kaveri, then take the forest bus to the Mekedatu gorge. Drive on to the Jungle Lodges camp at Bheemeshwari for buffet lunch, a coracle ride on the Kaveri and evening tea, and drop at your home by about 7:30 PM. About 250 km and 6 hours of driving in all. Muthathi is left out, as it does not fit with the camp's timings.

Mekedatu gorge by forest bus
1 h 30 min hereA forest bus takes you about 5 km from Sangama along the river to Mekedatu, where the Kaveri rushes through a narrow rock gorge. The return bus fare is included. Viewpoints are now behind barricades, and buses stop by about 5 PM.

Bheemeshwari Adventure and Nature Camp

Drop at your home
We leave the camp after evening tea at about 4:30 PM. The last stretch into Bengaluru is slow in evening traffic, so the drop time can move by 30 to 60 minutes.
