Ekambareswarar Temple
A huge Shiva temple with a tall gopuram and a hall of 1,000 pillars. Dress modestly. The temple closes around 12:30 PM and opens again around 4 PM.
If it rains: Kanchipuram's temples have covered halls, so light rain is fine, but walkways get slippery, so carry a towel for wet feet. Silk weaving is indoors. The Shore Temple is open air, so your driver may keep it for the next morning if the rain is heavy, and you can walk it after breakfast with the Five Rathas.
