Kukke Subramanya Temple
The temple reopens at about 3:30 PM after the afternoon break. Men remove shirts and vests inside; carry a shawl. Your driver can stop at the hotel first so you can freshen up.
If it rains: The Shiradi ghat is slow and misty in rain, so your driver may cut the lunch stop short to reach Kukke in daylight. The temple visits are fine in rain, as the main areas are covered. Skip the Kumaradhara ghat if the river is high or the steps are slippery.
