A taste from your trip
Jatayu Earth's Center
The world's largest bird sculpture, on a rock hill about 350 m up. A Swiss made cable car takes you up, or you can climb 826 steps. Open 10 AM to 5:30 PM. The cable car can stop in strong wind or heavy rain. Carry some cash, and a cap for the open rock top.
If it rains: If it pours, the Jatayu cable car may pause, so we wait in the shelter at the base or skip the top and spend longer over lunch in Kollam. The lighthouse has a lift, so it still works in light rain. Carry an umbrella for the fort.
