Thumboormuzhi Dam and butterfly garden
A small dam and riverside garden on the way in, with a butterfly garden and a hanging footbridge over the Chalakudy river. Ticket included.
If it rains: Rain makes the falls bigger and louder, and you can see Athirappilly from the top viewpoint in a few minutes. If the forest department closes the path in a heavy downpour, we see the falls from the road viewpoints, keep Charpa and Vazhachal from the car side, and head to the hotel early for a hot lunch and a quiet afternoon.
