Overview

A 3 day wildlife break at Kabini, on the edge of Nagarhole tiger reserve, about 5 hours from Bengaluru. Your private car and driver pick you up from home and stay with you; you sleep 2 nights at the resort you pick, with the meals it includes. Days follow the forest clock: safaris at dawn and late afternoon, slow lunches and river views in between. Elephants, deer, gaur and many birds are seen on most safaris; tigers and leopards need luck. Best from November to May, with the most sightings in the dry months of March to May. Honest note: safaris are run only by the Forest Department and are limited, so the Comfort tier (Jungle Lodges) includes them, while for the other tiers we help you book them as an add on.
