A taste from your trip
Hogenakkal viewpoint tower and hanging bridge
Walk along the rocks to the hanging bridge and climb the viewpoint tower for the widest look at the falls and the gorge. A small entry fee is paid at the gate, and we cover it. Paths are wet and slippery near the spray.
If it rains: Light rain makes the falls look even better, so keep the viewpoint tower and the bridge, but walk slowly, as the rocks get very slippery. In heavy rain or high water, the coracle and bathing are stopped by the district, so spend longer over a hot fish fry lunch and check in early.
