Overview

A relaxed 3 day hill break for couples, families and friends who want tea slopes and cool air without the crowds of Ooty. A private car and our driver pick you up from home and stay with you the whole trip, so tolls, parking and driver charges are already paid. You stay both nights in Coonoor, so you unpack once. Day 2 is the full day out: Lamb's Rock and Dolphin's Nose, a view of Catherine Falls, lunch in Kotagiri, the Kodanad viewpoint and tea estates. The honest part: Coonoor is about 300 km from Bengaluru, so Day 1 and Day 3 each have about 7 hours of driving plus meal stops, and the road after Gudalur climbs a ghat with many bends. Best from December to March, when days are clear and nights are cold. Views and falls can disappear in mist, and we reorder the day if that happens.
