A taste from your trip
Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary
A flat walk under mangroves and coconut palms to a watch tower on Vembanad Lake. Migratory birds are here from about November to February. Check that it is open: it was reported closed for upgrade work in early 2026.
If it rains: Birds are active in light rain but the sanctuary paths get slippery. If it pours, enjoy a long lunch and keep the boat ride for another evening.
